After completing the educational training, Texas Watershed Stewards will be able to:
Continue learning about and engaging in watershed stewardship, through local continuing education and volunteer opportunities.
Continue providing leadership and service in your community.
Support watershed groups with similar goals.
Serve as a point of contact for community members seeking assistance and refer people to Texas AgriLife Extension Service, local supporting agencies, and watershed groups for reference materials, training, and assistance.
Provide the public with research-based information on watersheds.
Work with local governments or other public agencies in watershed-related management.
Conserve water in your home, business, and community.
Institute best management practices in your home or business to improve water quality in your communities.
Participate in volunteer stream restoration efforts.
Serve in leadership positions on local stakeholder groups
